Duration:14 Days / 13 Nights

Day 1:Yangon (Arrival)

Arrive in Yangon and transfer to your comfortable hotel. Explore the city, beginning with the lovely colonial quarter. You will also visit the pier, the Sule Pagoda, and the impressive 70-meter-long reclining Buddha statue. Enjoy sunset at the wonderful Shwedagon Pagoda. Stay overnight in Yangon.

Day 2:Yangon – Inle

Fly to Heho and then travel by road to Inle Lake (one hour). Spend a full day touring the lake by boat, exploring its quaint stilt villages, beautiful floating gardens, and the friendly Intha population known as the “children of the lake”. Visit the lovely Paungdawoo pagoda and a monastery known for its jumping cats. Stay overnight at Inle Lake.

Day 3: Inle

Travel by boat to visit the local lakeside market. Continue your boat ride down the creek and then walk through the bamboo groves to reach the remarkable village of Indein. In the afternoon, you will visit the workshops of local artisans including lotus fiber and silk weavers, blacksmiths, and cigar manufacturers.

Day 4:Inle – Mandalay

Fly to Mandalay and discover the last royal capital of Myanmar. You will explore Mandalay’s numerous artisan workshops and view many of the city’s beautiful sculptures. Then visit the Jade Market, the lovely Mahamuni Pagoda, the Shwenandaw monastery and the Kuthodaw Pagoda. Admire the view from Mandalay Hill at sunset.

Day 5:Mingun – Sagaing – Amarapura

Travel by private boat down the Irrawaddy River (two-hour roundtrip cruise) to Mingun Village. Visit the unfinished Mingun Pagoda, the world’s largest ringing bell, and the beautiful Myatheindan pagoda. Return to Mandalay and continue on to the pagoda-covered hills of Sagaing, crowded with a thousand pagodas and monasteries. Discover a traditional weaving factory at Amarapura and walk on the U Bein Bridge, the longest teak bridge in the world. Stay overnight at Mandalay.

Day 6:Cruise RV Paukan (Mandalay – Bagan)

Spend a day cruising down the Irrawaddy River aboard the luxurious RV Paukan boat on your way to Bagan. Admire the views of the riverbanks from the boat, and make a stop in a pottery-making village. Enjoy delicious meals and stay overnight on the RV Paukan.

Day 7:Bagan – Popa

Arrive at Bagan in the morning, then drive to Mount Popa, the green-forested oasis of central Myanmar. Make a stop at a factory to observe local workers manufacturing palm sugar and palm alcohol. Visit the shrine of the Nats (protective spirits) before climbing the 777 steps to the top of Mount Popa. Settle into your comfortable hotel and then enjoy some free time to wander around and take in the spectacular panoramic views. Stay overnight on Mount Popa.

Day 8:Popa – Bagan

Travel to Bagan (one hour) where you will visit the local market, the Shwesigon pagoda, and the principal monuments of the archaeological site. Observe a traditional lacquer workshop, and then enjoy the sunset from the vantage-point of the Shwesandaw pagoda, which dominates the plain of a thousand pagodas.

Day 9:Bagan

Visit the Damayazika pagoda for spectacular panoramic views of the archaeological site. Experience the rural lifestyle as you wander freely through a typical Burmese village. Sit back and enjoy the area’s natural beauty on a horse-drawn carriage ride through the temples.

Day 10:Bagan – Ngapli

Fly to Ngapli. You will be welcomed at the airport and transported to your comfortable seaside hotel. Relax and play on the beautiful white-sand beach.

Day 11 – 12:Ngapli

Enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia for three heavenly days. There will also be opportunities to visit nearby fishing villages.

Day 13:Ngapli – Yangon

Fly to Yangon. Enjoy a visit to the colorful Bogyoke Market and Chinatown.

Day 14:Yangon – Airport

Transfer to the airport for international departures.
