Our suggested bird watching excursion is based in Sittwe, the capital of the ethnic Arakanese, and one of the best places to visit in Myanmar Burma for bird watching. During this excursion, you can see some of the 150 varieties of beautiful birds that live in the area – such as Skimmers, Nordmann’s Greenshanks, and the Sarus Crane, with a chance to learn about extremely rare birds such as the Spoon-Billed Sandpiper. Visiting the nearby villages to enjoy the area’s unspoiled natural beauty and discover the lifestyle of its inhabitants is an attraction in itself. Local food will be served during this excursion, and the nights will be spent in tents or in a private boat. Our experienced guide will accompany you at all times.
