The “Adorable Myanmar” travel agency has been a very valuable partner. The quality of the proposals and discussions during the development of our travel circuit was well above our expectations, and the services provided during our trip (logistics, guides, drivers, and the hospitality of the agency) were absolutely remarkable. Thanks to “Adorable Myanmar” we had unforgettable experiences – in short, a dream trip. We strongly recommend this travel agency which is aimed at the French and English-speaking market.

We (a retired Swiss couple) prefer to organize our individual trips before leaving home. We believe that we will enjoy a country better if we are surrounded by drivers and local guides who allow us to discover places off the beaten path. However, we always try to utilize small local businesses that best benefit the people of the country we are visiting. After doing some research, we went to “Adorable Myanmar” to organize our 28-day personalized trip to Burma. The praise we had found on different sites was not exaggerated.

On the basis of a first outline of the proposed travel circuit, we went to “Adorable Myanmar” to ask for a route proposal and a quote. We received an answer very quickly by email. Next, using Skype, we discussed the proposal which had been developed for us with great care. The discussions we had with the directors of the “Adorable Myanmar” travel agency, Theint and Kyithar, helped to perfect the trip according to our wishes. Agency officials responded to our suggestions while providing valuable advice. That said, we were very happy with this initial phase.

Upon arrival in Yangon, we were greeted by our driver and guide who brought us to the agency office. Theint greeted us with great care and provided us with valuable information in preparation for our visit to this beautiful country.

These discussions were accompanied by snacks and small, well-chosen gifts (a traditional bag of the Inle region, and natural medicines). This pleasant visit to the agency was an ideal introduction to the extremely nice neighboring population. At each stage of our 28-day “Adorable Myanmar” trip, we had a car and driver at our disposal. All our drivers were not only good road professionals but also excellent traveling companions who were always punctual and ready to guide us in our discoveries – with limited knowledge of English, however. We really appreciated all the guides who provided us with information of exceptional quality. They were anxious to answer all of our questions and to familiarize us with their daily lives.

We especially remember the guide and the driver in Loikaw who, at home the night before our excursion in the mountains and the village of HteKho, had prepared a traditional picnic for our outing. And we will not forget the two young guides, Sai and Htet, who were so enthusiastic during our two-day trek around Kalaw, or Kyaw Thet in Bagan who surprised us with his historical knowledge (of the country, the continent, and even of Europe) and introduced us to absolutely extraordinary architecture. They all demonstrated unconditional dedication to their respective tasks.

We also wish to add that we liked the choice of hotels. We remember with great pleasure the charm of the Cinderella Hotel in Mawlamyaine; the sumptuous Inle Resort; the original Pindaya Inle Inn Chalet; the very comfortable My Bagan Residence in Bagan; and most especially, the beautiful Thande Beach Hotel, which in our opinion, is the most pleasant hotel by the sea in Ngapali Beach. But the most beautiful experience was staying in a remote village (in the mountains near Kalaw, where there were no other tourists in the village!) where we were received as private guests in a peasant house.
